Tip #10: Yarrow (Achillea)
Yarrow is a rugged, historical plant that brings a distinct, flat-topped flower structure to the summer garden. Its soft, feathery, fern-like foliage looks beautiful even before the plant bursts into bloom. When the flowers do arrive, they form dense umbels in shades of mustard yellow, terra cotta, soft pink, or crisp white.
You can count on yarrow to survive your most neglectful gardening weeks. It laughs at drought, thrives in poor sandy soil, and loves baking in the hot sun. Just like coneflowers, yarrow will become weak and floppy if you spoil it with rich compost and heavy fertilizer. It prefers tough love.
Yarrow also transitions perfectly from the garden to the vase. You can cut the sturdy stems for fresh summer bouquets, or hang them upside down in a dark, dry room to create lasting dried arrangements. The color of the blooms holds up incredibly well after drying, allowing you to enjoy your summer flowers long into the winter.

Great information on flowers that bloom all summer.
Thank you,
Darlene
Where’s the article. All I get is ads for edging
It’s located on the first page. There’s the pic of flowers and a gold link that sez “See Flowers”. Tap on that and your first of 12 flowers is zinneas. At the end of that part, click on the green 2 so be taken to the next flower info. Continue until you have seen all 12 flowers.
Thanks for the wonderful tips. I’m running a little behind schedule in extending my summer garden but will definitely incorporate these ideas.
I would like info on where can I buy the seeds or plant of LANTANA and MARIGOLD please
I’ve got Lantana growing along my driveway and front yard. I would live to send you some.
vinca, all summer until frost, and withstand hot sun, and pretty good when it dry
I can only see two flowers. What am I doing wrong?
