Yard hoses

This is another item most people have in their yard. A hose is an indispensable item because you’re using it for almost everything that involves water. But since you are using it only in your backyard, it is only natural to keep it there. The problem is that storing it outside is not recommended.

Uncoiled garden hoses are easily affected by fluctuating temperatures. If they are left out in the sunlight during the summer, the material of the hose will harden, and then it can easily crack. On the other hand, during the winter, the water can freeze inside, and this can further lead to a potential rupture.

You should make sure to keep hoses out of the ground. Try to use a reel or a dedicated holder. Also, keep them in an enclosed space such as a shed or a garage.

  1. garden tools like rakes are easily stepped on- ouch! same goes for unused tomato cages- easy to trip and fall, especially at night and you forgot they were there
