Standing water
You might say that this is a weird one. Why can’t you keep standing water in your yard? Some of us have buckets, bird baths, plant containers, or any other such objects that can hold water.
They get filled with water when it’s raining, and this may seem like something normal at first, but over time this can turn into trouble. Still, water attracts insects, especially mosquitoes, and they will take advantage of this and lay their eggs in the standing water. When you are not careful, your yard will be invaded by these insects, and we all know how annoying they can be.
So, if you don’t want to transform your backyard into a breeding ground for mosquitoes, you should always remove these water sources. If you have a birdbath, make sure you replace the water often.
If you recycle water, try to always use it after the containers are full. Never leave them standing there too long and not using the water.

garden tools like rakes are easily stepped on- ouch! same goes for unused tomato cages- easy to trip and fall, especially at night and you forgot they were there
